Tıp Tekrar
Spaced repetition for medical students
Open the appWhat it is
Tıp Tekrar is a study app that makes medical school easier to keep up with. Medical students face more facts than anyone can hold by rereading, so the app brings each fact back right before it would be forgotten and tests it by active recall.
It is built on spaced repetition and retrieval practice, the two learning techniques with the strongest research support (Cepeda et al., 2006; Roediger & Karpicke, 2006).
What is in it today
- More than 20,000 questions covering the complete first and second year of medical school, across eight courses: anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, histology, embryology, medical biology, medical genetics and biophysics.
- Every question is written from the course material and then checked against the source by an independent reviewer before it ships.
- A review schedule that steps back instead of starting over after a wrong answer, with each concept asked in alternating formats.
- Exam planning: students enter their committee exam date and the app tracks readiness and builds a catch-up plan.
- Works offline and installs on any phone as a web app. An account is optional; progress stays on the device, with optional cloud backup.
Where it is going
The app is live on the web, with the Google Play release in progress and the App Store to follow. Next come the clinical years, then curricula for other countries and languages.
How it is built
Tıp Tekrar is built with Claude. The app is developed with Claude Code, and the question bank comes from a content system in which separate Claude agents write and audit each question against the source, behind automated quality checks.
Who is behind it
Tıp Tekrar was founded in September 2026 by Cafer Yıldırım and is based in Türkiye.
